just found out that at the wedding we're going to this weekend, our friends are using our song for thier first dance. We've known that was going to be our first dance song since a while before we were actually engaged. A lot of our friends from around here who will be at our wedding will be at this wedding. I'm really upset, and I think the bride would be totally passive-agressively upset if we used it.

Since you're planning on using it after their wedding, I think it's fine. They might even be flattered.

Come Away with Me by Norah Jones. I've never heard it used before at a wedding (and never seen it on one of those lists... although I haven't seen many of the lists, since we always knew we wanted to use that song). There are just some sentimental reasons we love the song (and Norah Jones's songs in general). I never thought I'd be part of one of those couples that has a song, but it's our song.

Incidentally, I've been getting lots of support for using it anyway, regardless of what they're doing (I have no idea if it has any special significance for them or not).

i too think that you should use it! (great song, btw) it's your wedding, you should do exactly as YOU want! it's your song, play it! enjoy it!
